Established since 2002, Nodding Dog has grown into a boutique creative agency with a multidisciplinary focus. That means we work across all areas of print, digital, video and animation. Our unique, ‘cross pollination’ approach always results in memorable and unique campaigns. With it’s two key locations in Newcastle and Surry Hills, Nodding Dog has over 300 clients and has worked on over 4000 projects since 2002.
Adrian Edmunds // Managing Director
After finishing a Bachelor of Graphic Design, Adrian established ND in 2002. Having a wide range of interests and skills – from design and web through to animation and video – Adrian has grown the business from it’s humble beginnings in his parents back room to a studio with over 300 clients that operates in both Sydney and Newcastle. Noted as an emerging artist early in his career, Adrian’s work has been showcased locally and overseas, profiled in magazines in Oz and the UK and he was even shortlisted to work on The Star Wars prequels as a pre-visualisation artist back in ’03. He is now pretty happy that fell through, as those movies sucked. When he is not busy juggling ideas and projects, you can find him drinking at pubs, looking for classic 60’s cars or shredding on lead guitar in his band ‘The Warehouse Project’.
Ben Hillis // Creative Director
Ben has been working at ND since 2008 and is an integral to all things creative. He met Adrian at University before being snapped up by some major advertising firms in the UK where he worked on projects for some of the world’s best known alcohol brands. Ben returned to Australia to apply his perfectionists eye to FMCG packaging design but was more than happy to help out when his old Uni buddy needed a hand taking his business to the next level. When he’s not busy making campaigns and images stand out, Ben is working on his own illustration and art projects or laying down mean basslines in his band ‘Valvewire’.
Studios / Staff
ND has a talented bunch of staff in design, web, animation and video in both Surry Hills and Newcastle. And when things get too busy, we have a really cool network of freelancers that help out too. So no project is too small or too large for ND to sink their teeth into.
